Trout are not numerous but what they lack in number is compensated by their average size. They must not be killed if under 16 inches. Specimens from 8lb to over 12lb have been caught in local waters. Spinning a Bleak, Dace or Gudgeon is the best method.

Although nox exacting in dates, the guide thought to cover the period 196-1965, mentions that "London Anglers Association" had fishing rights on some of the local waters.
