Trevor Pearce Wins at Panshill (Hill Lake), Sunday 7th November

A mild day with a gentle breeze topped off with some glorious winter sunshine greeted Remenham anglers fishing the 10th match in their Stillwater Series at Hill Lake near Biscester. Trevor Pearce led the way from the off fishing 6mm and 8mm pellet close to an island feature taking the honours in first place with a convincing victory of 51lb 12oz of F1 carp. Nigel Smith was runner up with 27lb 8oz caught on pellet. Stan Robak finished third with 18lb of carp again caught on pellet The match this weekend is at Panshill Fishery, Wood Lake

Stan Robak Wins at Barton Court, Sunday 31st October

Remenham anglers fished the 9th match in their Stillwater Series. Stan Robak took the honours in first place with 20lb 8oz of skimmers on the pole. Dick Shillito was runner up with 16lb and Graham Dodd was 3rd with 11lb of mostly roach

Trevor Pearce Wins at Milton Pools, Sunday 24th October

A full moon, keen frost and some glorious sunshine were the order of the day at Milton Pools as Remenham anglers fished the 8th match in their Stillwater Series. Trevor Pearce took the honours in first place with 47lb 5oz of carp caught on the pole using 8m pellet .Graham Dodd was runner up with 31lb 10oz which was made up of 16lb of carp caught on the method feeder and 15lb of roach. Club captain Ian Chaplin finished third with 30lb 1oz of carp and skimmers caught on pellet The match this weekend is at Barton Court

Dick Shillito Wins at Bowsaw, Sunday 17th October

Remenham anglers were greeted with the first frosts of winter last weekend as they travelled to fish Bowsaw lake near Odiham in Hampshire. Zero degrees did not however deter the fish as all anglers caught. Dick Shillito took the honours in first place with 77lb 4oz of carp caught on the feeder using hair rigged luncheon meat. Club captain Ian Chaplin finished a close second with 70lb 6oz of carp caught on pellet close to a reed bed and third place went to Trevor Pearce with 61lb 12oz caught on the pole at 10 metres using Paste. The match this weekend is at Milton Pools near Stadhampton

Stan Robak Triumphs for a third consecutive week at New Barlows, Sunday 10th October

Remenham anglers travelled to New Barlows near Tadley to fish the 5th match of the Secretary’s Stillwater Series.
Stan Robak won the match for a third consecutive week with 16lb 6oz of Tench and Bream fishing chopped worm. Graham Dodd was second with a 13lb 6oz mixed bag including Carp and a large Perch. Dick Shillito finished third with 8lb 7oz of Tench and Skimmers.
The match this Sunday is at Bowsaw Lake near Odiham in Hampshire, draw 9.00am.

Robak Triumphs for a second consecutive week at Cheriton Farm, Sunday 3rd October

Remenham anglers travelled to Cheriton Farm to fish the 4th match of the Secretary’s Stillwater Series. Conditions were exceptionally hard with strong winds and driving rain however two anglers managed to break the 100lb barrier.
Stan Robak won the match for a second consecutive week with an impressive bag of 104lb of Carp alternating between meat and pellet up in the water. Dick Shillito finished second using similar tactics with 100lb 7oz. Third place went to Mark Bowles with 58lb 14oz of Carp caught on sweetcorn.

Stan Robak Wins at Whitehouse, Sunday 26th September

Remenham anglers travelled to Tadley to fish Whitehouse Lake in the 3rd match of the Secretary’s Stillwater Series. Conditions were exceptionally hard as there was an early frost which resulted in the resident Carp not feeding and most anglers struggling to catch.
Stan Robak won the match with an impressive bag of 26lb of mostly Bream caught on soft pellet from one of the island pegs. Alan Brand finished second with 10lb 9oz made up of a 4lb carp and thes rest Bream all caught on Paste. Third place went to club captain Ian Chaplin with 8lb 8oz of Carp and Bream caught on pellet.
The match this Sunday is at Cheriton Farm, draw at 9.00am

“Pearce Wins at Wood Lake” Sunday 19th September

Remenham anglers travelled to Panshill Fishery near Biscester last weekend to fish Wood Lake as part of the Secretary’s Stillwater Series.
Trevor Pearce managed to stay ahead of the filed in the closely fought match with 47lb 8oz of mostly carp caught on pellet and paste, club captain Ian Chaplin finished a close second with 42lb 8oz fishing the method feeder to an island feature. Graham Dodd also managed to frame with 41lb 6oz which included 20lb of small fish caught on the caster.
This week sees the match group returning to Whitehouse which is part of the Stacey’s Lake complex at Tadley.

“Smith Dominates at Whitehouse”  Sunday 12th September

Remenham anglers travelled to Whitehouse Lake at Tadley which is part of the Stacey’s Lakes complex for the second match in the Secretary’s Stillwater Series, the conditions appeared ideal, warm and sunny however, on most pegs, the fish were NOT feeding.
Nigel Smith yet again showed fine form with a convincing victory with 98lb 12.oz of quality Carp caught on Pellet close to an island feature.
Graham Dodd finished second with 31lb 4oz of Carp and Bream caught on Pellet and Worm and third place went to Stan Rowback with 13lb 10oz, caught on pellet and paste.
Section winners were Mark Bowles with 12lb 8oz and Trevor Pearce with 13lb 6oz both caught Skimmers on worm.
